Coaching with me is like meeting up with a friend for coffee. Maybe you see each other regularly or maybe it's been a while since you last spoke. Either way, it's the feeling you have with certain people where no matter how often you see each other, you can always pick up right where you left off. If you had something getting in your way or feeling a bit lost in the moment, you come away from it feeling lighter and more energized.
I call myself Franco-Californian: part French, part Californian. Growing up between two very different worlds, I struggled to figure out who I was. In France, I was too American, in the US I felt too French. The indecision in my cultural identity permeated into other parts of my life.
My career in particular took many twists and turns from restaurants to tech to brewery accessories. All along, I could not get rid of the nagging feeling that there was something else I was meant to do; I had a calling. For me, this always felt like a lump in my throat but it was in my heart instead. No matter what people told me - “it’s just a job”, “just find something and stick to it”, “don’t you want to just make money?” - my gut feeling was too strong.
One theme was always clear: I wanted to help people. I have always been fascinated by humans and the human experience in all of its intricacies (I was an Anthropology major in college!) I finally had a lightbulb moment when a friend told me about the success she had with her life coach.
So I left my job and dedicated all my time to helping others by getting my certification from JRNI coaching, reading endlessly about finding happiness, pursuing your passion, believing in yourself, and continuing to keep an open mind and learning from others in my field.
I’ve been in a place of frustration and desperation trying to find my passion. It would have saved me years of trial and error if I had only ask for help and found a space where I could unpack these feelings and dig, dig, dig to realize what mattered most to me. But now, I am more stoked than ever to help someone else on that path. I truly believe that everyone can have a career that they love.
